Working Together

The Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries is a non-profit consortium of thirteen libraries in Colorado and Wyoming.  It was incorporated in 1974 and is a partnership of academic, special and public libraries with a history of working in concert to share resources through cooperative purchasing, special projects, systems management and consulting services.  The consortium currently has four major initiatives some of which extend beyond the formal consortium membership.

  • Prospector union catalog (>40 libraries)
  • Gold Rush ERMS/A-Z/Linker (>60 libraries)
  • Alliance Digital Repository, an open source Fedora/Islandora service
  • Electronic Resource Licensing
